New Campus Coming Soon

Port Macquarie Steiner School - A New Chapter

Where learning is integrated wholistically and woven together creatively by the teachers through stories and hands on experiences to nurture the whole child.

A new place for Port Macquarie Steiner School

Picture
We’re excited to share our journey towards our new ethically built campus on Birpai land, John Oxley Drive, Port Macquarie.

This beautiful four acre sanctuary fits perfectly with our purpose to nurture the whole child in harmony with nature and the community.

The move reflects our commitment to offering Steiner education to families in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region.
Bringing learning to life
‘Our highest endeavour must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives…’

Rudolf Steiner

Why a new Campus?

Picture
Since our beginnings as a playgroup in 2016 Port Macquarie Steiner School has grown from this small seed into a thriving community of families and educators working with Steiner education in our local community.

Our first home at Table Street in central Port Macquarie, has given us the opportunity to bring our school to life, establish our foundations and develop into a K-6 primary school.
Now the need has grown for a campus that supports the next stage of our journey.

A new place to flourish and grow

Thanks to the vision of our founders and the dedication from our team to our long-term vision, we purchased four acres of land at Thrumster in 2020.

Eco friendly healthy learning spaces

Our newest modular school classrooms at Table Street are created with Passivhaus design, an approach that makes classrooms beautiful, homely, healthy and more comfortable for students. Built from sustainable materials, it reflects our care for the earth and future generations.

Our commitment to families and the community

Moving to the new campus is an exciting milestone. We understand that this transition is significant. Our priorities remain to ensure:
  • Continuity of learning and care for every child
  • Clear, timely communication about transition plans
  • Opportunities for families and community members to be engaged and informed at every stage
Every decision is being carefully considered to minimise disruption, support student wellbeing and respect family commitments.

If you have any questions, please reach out to arrange a one-one meeting.
