Lisa Devine presents an introduction to The Threefold Social Structure and its relevance for Australian life today.
"The healthy social life is found when in the mirror of each human soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the community the virtue of each one is living."
Lisa offers an important and inspiring talk, encapsulating the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner and shares it with us in this introductory talk.
Rudolf Steiner proposed what he called the Threefold Social Order at a time when the chaos of the first world war awakened in many people the question: how can we do things differently so that this destruction of humanity does not happen again?
He did not prescribe a program but a way of understanding human society based on an idea of the human being as creative, just, and longing to serve one another and the earth.
These qualities are stifled by fear about survival, injustice, and dogma. They flourish in freedom in social structures that embed cultural freedom, equality of rights, and serving fellow human beings as sisters and brothers in the economic life.
This workshop will combine an introduction to the ideas with some practical examples, and will be tailored to the questions of those present.
